I have a two year old who has been teething non stop since three months old and it has caused him a lot of grief. I am a huge fan of holistic remedies and found out about Baltic Amber teething necklaces a year ago and since then have owned many. There seems to be some confusion about the purpose of these necklaces, THEY ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE CHEWED ON, and doing so is dangerous. If the child is small enough to be able to reach the necklace into its mouth to chew on, then the necklace is too big for them. The amber works to numb teething pain because of a type of acid in the amber that is released when pressed against warm skin. If a baby is too little for the necklace to be around its neck it can be wrapped around its ankle and its much safer. I have owned many different teething necklaces, this one by KG Baby is one of my favorites. The beads are shaped nicely and the color variation looks great. The beads are double knotted to lower risk of a bead coming off. My son is considerably less fussy when wearing his necklace and complains less about pain.
