I remember a couple years ago when I was pregnant with my son, I would wake up in the middle of the night and I stumbled upon Rick Bayless and his cooking show. I would sit there lusting after his recipes and wishing that I could make perfect Mexican dishes at home. Well, my meals never turned out that great and I have never found a Mexican rice recipe that worked for me. I love Mexican rice so this was really disappointing for me.
Fast forward to today, I was browsing at the grocery and ta-da my rice prayers have been answered. Rick Bayless has his own brand of cooking sauce, salas etc and there it was, a sauce for rice. It is pure deliciousness and a breeze to cook. I made it in my rice cooker and perfectly done Mexican restaurant style. I am in heaven.
